FOUR SEASONS · Art & Music Project
A Manuel Gimferrer and Grace Hye collaboration
Dear MirloStudio friends,
Last summer I started to work on a new composition project for a collection of NFTs. I wanted the opportunity to work alongside a visual artist. This was after my previous experience with the “NFTs for Peace” collection, which had been fantastic, that I turned to the Smartists community on Stacks.
It occurred to me that the theme of the seasons could be a simple and open framework at the same time, and that, in addition, it would give me the chance to pay tribute to some composers who accompany me with their works in my everyday.
I immediately contacted Grace Hye. Grace is a unique artist in the NFT scene, and I feel privileged to have been able to collaborate with her. During this year, I have followed her successes at Art Capital (salon at the Grand Palais, Paris), as well as at NYCNFT (New York) events.
Grace Hye's work has strong roots in the physical world, with a very personal style, with her use of black ink... In the work of this Korean artist based in Paris, we find poetry and beauty that open the way to that innerverse (inner universe) that she wants to open for us. Grace owes the success of her collections to her artistic quality, and to this is added her human quality. This is something that is also appreciated by her Discord community, where she has quite a few followers with whom she shares her projects, bringing them the opportunity to actively participate in them. That's how it was with our Four Seasons... And that's why you have here an invitation to Grace's Discord, so you can be a part of her community.
Progressing together has been great: the meetings, and especially those shipments of the first visual tests with their animations and music... This summer we are preparing the launch, and we would like to have the support of our communities.
As a classically trained composer, you will see that I am still drawn to revisiting my favorites, and sharing those passages that call my attention on themes that may sound familiar to many, and are easily recognizable. I think it's a way to thank my legacy and launch it into the future. I hope you like it.
Each season has its colors and its music for each one of us, but above all it opens up a world of emotions and personal experiences. With these works we hope to open that door to the innerverse, or as Mirlo says, we invite you to cultivate your inner garden... What does summer sound like to you?
